Bridled Honeyeater Lichenostomus frenatus (Viewing 4 of 5 photos)
|
Mountain Honeyeater is an apt alternative for this species that inhabits the highland rainforests of northeast Queensland between Cooktown and Townsville.
Bridled Honeyeaters are easily located - noisy and aggressive they feed on a variety of food, both fruits and insects but when available they prefer nectar and will travel to access flowering trees, even just outside the rainforest or into gardens.
